general upholstery fabrics

The fabrics used in our ranges vary in composition for each product. Scotch Guarding your general upholstery will offer a higher level of protection. Spot clean with a damp cloth, do not rub.

rugs

Maintenance: When placing on a hard surface (hardwood, concrete, stone, tiles etc.), place a breathable non-slip underpad under the rug. Rotate once or twice a year to ensure it wears evenly. Vacuum using a low powered suction. 

Cleaning: If stained, treat immediately. Use soda water or tap water with salt until the stain is absorbed. Using a clean cloth or paper towels press down. Continue until stain is removed. DO NOT RUB! It will only permanently fix the stain into the rug fibres. This piece should be professionally cleaned every 3-5 years depending on the level of traffic it receives.

solid timber

As the solid timbers used are natural products, they may expand and contract due to varying temperatures. This may cause small cracks where the timber joins.

Wipe the surface with a damp cloth, then dry with a soft clean cloth to prevent spotting If you choose to oil your furniture, we recommend using orange oil or a furniture oil and test a small patch on the underside.

timber veneer

Dust with a damp cloth. Do not place hot products onto the furniture, placemats and coasters are always recommended. Furniture should be placed out of direct sunlight.

marble

Spills should be wiped away immediately as marble is porous. Clean with recommended marble cleaner and dry with a soft clean cloth. Coasters and placemats are recommended to protect the surface.

leather

Dust leather furniture on a regular basis. Use leather cleaner. Furniture should be placed out of direct sunlight.

zinc

Zinc will mark very easily which over time patinas and adds to the character of the product.

Clean your table regularly with a mixture of mild soap and water. Wiping your table down at the end of the day or after use Coasters and placemats are recommended to protect the surface.
